Happy New Year! If you have been looking forward to the January 2026 Monthly Energies, I’ve outlined the influences for each of the nine quadrants below to support you as we begin this new year together.
Before diving in, I’d like to offer some clarity for those who may be new to the ancient nature science I practice, known as Compass Feng Shui. Unlike Black Hat Feng Shui, which is based on the traditional Magic Square and uses a fixed directional approach, Compass Feng Shui works with time-based, moving energies. These energies shift yearly and monthly and interact with the permanent energy of your home or business.
The 2026 yearly visiting energy arrives on February 4, 2026 at 4:01 a.m. and is referred to as the Year of the Horse.
As we reflect on 2025, the Year of the Snake, many experienced profound change. The visiting energy at the center of buildings carried themes of sickness and separation. For countless people, this showed up as loss, relocation, job changes, relationship shifts, or the passing of loved ones or treasured pets. The snake, symbolically, sheds its skin. Many found themselves being asked to let go in order to make space for something new.
January 2026 is the final month of the 2025 yearly energy.
During this month, the visiting monthly energy amplifies the permanent energy of your home or business. This permanent energy is determined by when the roof was completed and can only be accurately assessed through a compass reading. This is why two homes on the same street can experience very different outcomes during the same year.
As I’ve shared in previous newsletters, 2024 marked the beginning of a new 20-year cycle, lasting through February 3, 2043. This cycle is governed by the Fire element, representing the rise of feminine energy. During this time, we will continue to see older authorities stepping aside, making room for younger, confident, capable women to step into leadership roles across many sectors.
The Year of the Horse (2026) introduces the Water element, which is associated with wealth, visibility, and fame. Water and Fire are opposing elements, as water extinguishes fire. Because of this dynamic, we may see Earth-related challenges in 2026, including flooding, landslides, and water-related incidents. Financial systems and institutions may also experience periods of instability, making awareness and discernment especially important.
On a personal level, 2026 is a powerful year for aligning with who you truly are. Following your passion and trusting your inner guidance will be key to feeling empowered. As more people raise their vibration, we are collectively shifting from a linear 3D experience into a more expansive 4D awareness, where synchronicities become frequent and intuitive knowing strengthens.
I’ve been experiencing this shift myself, noticing more meaningful coincidences and gentle guidance showing up at exactly the right time. As we continue moving toward higher vibrational 5D energy, many will feel a deeper sense of connection, compassion, and understanding that we are all energetically linked. It truly is magical when we realize our thoughts attract exactly what we need.

Be aware that the year of the Snake and has brought much change as well as chaos with new technologies coming quickly in so many industries from health, to tech, to science, and spirituality all at the same time causing stress for many, feeling they have little time to learn and change quickly.
January will bring the highest potential all year of change and the energy of "letting go".
NOTE: This combination of energies cause many to have a strong desire to move forward to experience something new, and yet the need to let go of something to make room for the new requires a deep look at old beliefs and outdated habits that have caused limitations which need to be released before a new lifestyle can be created.
